CIGRE stands for the international forum in the field of electrical energy generation, transmission and distribution and deals with technical, economic, ecological, organizational and regulatory aspects.
This forum brings together experts worldwide from the fields of planning, construction, operation, service, development and construction of equipment and systems for power plants and electrical energy transmission and distribution networks.
The goals of the CIGRE include:
- The promotion of professional exchange between experts from different countries in the fields of energy production and transmission.
- Creating added value in terms of knowledge and information transfer by presenting state-of-the-art projects and current practice.
- To make decision-makers and regulators aware of CIGRE’s ongoing professional and well-founded work in the field of electrical energy.
